Sharehire is an Australian peer-to-peer equipment hire marketplace connecting tradies, businesses and everyday Australians with local equipment owners and independent hire operators.
The platform allows users to list equipment, search for nearby equipment, book equipment, process payments and verify identities all within one platform.
The platform also creates opportunities for small operators, side hustlers and everyday Australians to generate income from equipment sitting idle in sheds, garages and depots.
MEET THE TEAM
CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Jack is the creator and driving force behind the Sharehire app. With many years of experience in leadership roles within the civil construction industry, he has acquired the knowledge necessary to provide a product that meets the industry's needs for equipment rental. The concept for Sharehire emerged when Jack realised that finding hire equipment for the worksite became increasingly challenging, especially when the larger, well known hire companies were fully booked. Moreover, he observed that smaller, local equipment hire businesses weren't getting the recognition they deserved. This inspired him to create a platform that highlights local equipment hire options, making tools for hire more accessible and leveling the playing field for all.

Rachael plays a crucial role in keeping the Sharehire dream alive behind the scenes. With several years of experience in the admin and marketing industry, she contributes significantly to the family managed company. Rachael has supported Jack to create the community Sharehire platform, all from their family home in NSW.
